ABOUT SHARI FRAZIER

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Lee’s Summit City Council, representing District 2. As a long-standing resident and active participant in our local economy, I am deeply invested in the success and wellbeing of our community. My priority is to ensure Lee’s Summit remains an outstanding place to live, learn, grow, and thrive through deliberate action.

Public safety, health, and security are critical concerns not only for District 2 but across Lee’s Summit. My family’s legacy includes veterans, law enforcement officers, and public servants dedicated to safeguarding these values.

It is essential that public safety professionals have the resources, support, and capacity necessary to respond effectively when called upon. With over twenty years’ experience in public health, policy development, IT infrastructure, and healthcare programming, I appreciate the complex challenges and opportunities at the intersection of public policy and private impact on our citizens’ welfare.

My commitment is to serve as an advocate for the needs of our residents, facilitate access to information, support public safety throughput, and reduce confusion wherever possible. Lee’s Summit boasts exceptional citizens and public servants, and we must continue to provide them with what they need to maintain excellence relative to neighboring communities.

Serving this community has truly been an honor. I serve on the Lee’s Summit Planning Commission. I mentor with the Global Prep Squad at Summit Technical Academy (STA), chair the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, and participate in Leadership Lee’s Summit (2025), Citizens Leadership Academy, KC PMI, and the Eastern Jackson County Housing and Economic Stability Lab. I am committed to supporting our city’s continued growth and progress.

While I am eager for the opportunity to represent District 2 on City Council, my most significant role remains being mom to Jalen. Lee’s Summit West graduate now attending Mizzou, my alma mater. This reinforces my dedication to laying a strong foundation for our city’s future success for generations to come.

Experienced in conflict resolution, transformational Organizational Change Management (OCM), vendor relationship, legislative oversight, contract negotiation, and infrastructure analysis. Recognized as a thought leader committed to continuous improvement, strategic direction, and fiscal responsibility. Dedicated to identifying, implementing, and evaluating key performance indicators and policy directives.
